Taking a Break
The need for time away is so that the time together can be better. Mama taking a break is especially important now that we have seemingly crossed the threshold to the land of no naps. (A scary land, to be sure.)
When I first became a mother, taking a break seemed like the last thing I should do, but now I can see that it's actually one of the first.
So I spent the night away from you chickens in a hotel room on Saturday night. And by Sunday morning at 11 AM, I was more than excited to see you and wrap my arms around your little bodies.
